Weekly Match Report

Seeing as my captain is off today, basking in last nights glory, it down to me for this weeks match report!

Mellow Yellows
Captain Sanjay - Failed to live up to his alias Thomas Brolin this week. Needed to organise his troops but failed to show leadership skills when it mattered. Too often found himself in the wrong position!
Boy Wonder - Not his usual Wayne Rooney exploits this week, looked like he had missed a few weeks. Still got the trickery when it counted, one great first time pass with the outside of his foot which should of been put away.
Han the Man - Loads of talking this week but needed some leadership - missed Ole Heads leadership and let his head drop.
Voicey - Worked hard and held the backline but was not supported by his fellow yellows. Should of scored a few following some good passes but needs to join me in shooting practice.
Chen - Quiet game this week though still showed some of his magic.

Wonderful Whites
CSC Captain Garstang - Worked hard up and down the wing and put in some good defence work. Snatched the ball away at crucial times on numerous occasions. Slowly gaining back his fitness.
Float like a butterfly sting like a bee, its Roger T - carrying an injury but still showed why he is the greatest. Not his usual high tempo performance but supported his team mates and talked the walk.
Rash as u like - nice to be on his side, some good work but still needs to stop being a headless chicken. More focus and he will improve
Main man Morgan - we missed him initially but when he came he arrived. Some nice movement and passing but needs to join me in some shooting practice.
Water Bucket carrier - used my energy this week to focus on the job in hand rather than handbags! Made sure the backline was organised and even got on the score sheet twice though should of had more. Team mates were probably sick and tired of my calls to get back and stop defending too far up the field but it worked!

Lionel Street All Stars Weekly Match Report

Great match last nights lads hope you all agree
Here is the match report
First thing I want to say is thanks to the losing captain Sanjay he battled well and made his team fight for the ball at every attempt, I think the teams were evenly matched and the result was pretty fair.
GB
Had a solid game at the back but Ii will have to speak to him about when he's in goal he let in a few soft goals towards the end. But well done not bad for an old geezer. Was a lilltle quiet in parts of the game, room for improvement
Chen
Great ball skills and didi lots of running to create space for the rest of the team and also put in some great goals
Han
Plenty of running although he got tired towards the end , contributed to a few goals and did plenty of shouting
Pat
Battled well and led the line with a goal or two (I think) !!! fought well in midfield as well and got a few loose balls
Darryl
Played a decent enought game with a goal towards the end , well it was the winning goal
Michael
Played well and made a batle of it, was playing like a water carried for a while though, but he tried hard
Roger
Silky skills as ever had a fairly quiet game
Paul
Battled well all round the pitch, seemed quieter than usual
Kieran
Had a quiet game got stuck in though when required
Sanjay
Led the line well , although he will now have to do the crossbar challenge next week!

**One last point lads, after the incident last night we must try to stop it happening GB/WATER CARRIER its only a game and we have to work together !

Tuesday Match Report

Hi All

First of all I would like to start by saying once again we had a poor turn out and it was not much of a challenge,

My challenger for this week was the one and only Lee Boywer.

The Yellow Team:

Darryl Garstrang

DG aka Lee Bowyer was the captain had a good game, no squaring up to me this week but I think DG needs to sort out his selection process as he had first pick and picked Kieran.

Kieran

Had a good game with some good saves as well as goals some nice passes as well as holding the back line well ran out of steam towards the end as the had the disadvantage in the second half.

MD

Played well ran his heart out missed some very good chances and put a few goals away started brightly but faded towards the end due to the stamina, decided to take a 10 goal advantage as they had the extra man in the first half but went against him and the team.

Overall as a team played well but should of played the game with better tactics started well but ran out of steam as the extra man was on the winning side in the second half.

The Winning Team

Roger

Once again MOTM for me ran his heart out nice passing, scored some wonderful goals, kept a cool head even though the yellow's had the extra man in the first half. Only thing that went to Roger's head in the game was when MD said lads lets take a 10 goal advantage so that in the second half the yellows could take it easy, as we all know that did not happen. Well done Roger keep up the good work.

Han

Played well gave it his all some nice goals as well as passes needs to read the game when passing also needs to pass the ball when the person is calling for it and has the space to move.

Rob

Played really well surprised me this week as he scored and passed the ball a lot better, keep up the good work.

Kieron Dyer

Missed some good chances, watched his challenges this week, did not have Lee Bowyer offering him a punch up, all I can say is my wonderful chipped goal that I scored MD was in the area.

The winning team played really well in the first half as we were always losing after we took a 3-0 lead I think we really played well to catch up and that the extra man did help us in the second half well done lads.

Lets hope we have a better turn out next week and a new challenger.

What A Game !!

What can I say about saturdays amazing footy match, not only did we score three goals away from home, but we had extra entertainment with the notorious punchup!!

Why can we raise our game against av very good georgie toon army but not raise it against small heath?
