Friday Night Is Footy Night

Picture the scene, Friday night and I’m stuck on the motorway on the way home, I turn on the radio and tune in to the Friday night football phone in, you can all guess what I’m about to say ! Paul Franks the host of the show (also the person that I commentated for all that time back in the summer during the World Cup) ! he asked for people to call in with the answer to a simple question, which I easily knew. So I called up expecting to just give my answer and hang up, but no, to my surprise I was put on air for ten minutes talking about my beloved Villa and other things connected with the club I gave my opinion as I usually do! And to my surprise at the end of the show the winners of some prizes were announced (as you had to be on air to win) and it was announced on air that I had one a prize! Ok, to some people winning the latest Paul Mcgrath autobiography may not be a big thing, but as Macca was known as “god” down Villa Park I was quite chuffed to have won. Anyone out there hear me??
